Private Investors for Startup Small Business (part 2 of 2)

What to Say to Potential Private Investors for Startup Small Businesses
Getting an appointment with a potential private investor is just the beginning. The next step is harder…and more important. You need to convince them to risk their money by investing in your proposed business. To do that, you need to focus on the factors listed below.

Products or Services
To know thy product (service) is to know thy business. Ultimately, everything will come down to what you’re selling. You need to know every feature of your product or service, how it fares against the competition, what its main attraction is to your market, and what could enable your products or services to triumph.

Give them proof. Let them know why you’re convinced people will buy them and you’re sure to win them over!

Target Market
Of course, having excellent products or services to sell won’t be enough to make your business survive, much less profit. You’re sure to impress potential private investors more if you come prepared with a list of well-thought-of strategies and tactics for marketing your products and services. They want to see how well you comprehend your target market and how effective and efficient you are at applying your knowledge to generate profit for your business.

Think rate and term. Firstly, they want to know exactly how long it would take them to recoup their investment. Secondly, they want to know how much more they can earn from their investment. Approximate figures won’t do. You need to calculate the odds, provide projected figures, and tell them simply if they can become richer – or poorer – because of your startup business.

Private Investors for Startup Small Business (part 1 of 2)

Private investors for startup small businesses may not be a dime in a dozen these days, but if you’ve truly a worthwhile idea for business to propose then there’s nothing to worry about. Speak the right words at the right time and place to the right person and you can get yourself some takers!

How to Find Potential Private Investors for Small Businesses
When looking for potential investors, it’s important to remember how critical each and every opportunity is that comes your way. Also, don’t underestimate but don’t take unreasonable risks either. If you know you’ve got a genuine money-making opportunity in your hands, there’s no need to be desperate.

Personal Network
Your personal network is made up of family, friends, and close colleagues. All these may be able to refer a name or two so take the time to explain your situation and ask for their help. This isn’t the time for stubborn pride or inhibitions.

Scour the business news for mentions of well-known entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors, and the likes. The type of business you’d propose may not be in league with the kind of projects they commonly involve their selves in, but there’s no harm in trying, is there?

If there’s no way for you to reach potential private investors then try doing it the other way around. Make them come to you instead by advertising. Of course, you’ll need to pick the right vehicles for approaching them. Mere classifieds won’t be enough. Give a hint or two to your bank manager, offer compensation in exchange for a little help, and there’s sure to be a little bird able to whisper to the right ears about your business proposal.

A Brief History of Birth Control (part 2 of 2)

The History
The oldest form of birth control can be the sexual abstinence. But aside from it, the withdrawal effect can also be considered as one.

Coined as the coitus interruptus, this means that the penis of a man will withdraw from the woman's genitals before the ejaculation. This prevents him from transmitting into the lady or his partner any vital sperm that may cause pregnancy. But this requires a lot of self control on the part of men.

It was also believed that Egyptian women have used suppository for their vaginas on old ages. The term for this type is pessary. This contains oil and other lubricants that will kill the sperm once the woman becomes involved in a sexual act.

The equivalent of today's female condoms at the time is a cervical cap for Asian women. This is like oiled paper. And for the same goal, Europeans have used beeswax. It was not until the 17th century that a condom was invented. When it was first introduced, it wasn't as popular as today. And it was intended not only to avoid the risk of pregnancy but also to avoid acquiring sexually transmitted disease like syphilis.

Throughout human history, there are various abortifacients that have been used. But the effects vary and those that were proven effective caused a lot of side effects. In the developing years, the herbal medium was used to act as a contraceptive.

The 20th century introduced the rhythm method or the natural way. It is still being applied today and can be as effective as the birth control pills but will also require a lot of control from both concerning partners.

In 1960, the FDA approved the pill that is now known as birth control. It was in 1972 that the pill became available for married ladies and singles ones who are over the age of 21. This was part of the 26th Amendment.

This brief history of birth control shows you its popularity through time. Although, it is also known to cause added weight, people rely on one or two types in hopes of not risking getting their partners pregnant at the time that they are still not ready for it.

A Brief History of Birth Control (part 1 of 2)

Here's a brief look at the history of birth control. Although pills are very much in demand to avoid getting pregnant for women, these are also causing quite a stir.

The reason for this is because birth control pills are known for one side effect. More and more women are complaining that the pills cause them to gain weight. For the ladies who use the pill just to avoid the risk of pregnancy, this is definitely not a good news.

When a woman gains weight because of the pills, it causes her to look at the other options. But not everybody is affected of this kind of side effect. Some women don't have weight issues regarding the use of birth control pills.

But for the women who are prone to such effect, there are other forms of birth control that they can choose to use. They can go the natural way or the rhythm method. This is where the partners will become involved in a sexual act only when the female is not fertile.

There are methods that are being injected and inserted to the women's genitals to obtain same effect as the pills. And among the popular ones is through the use of condoms. Nowadays, both men and women have condoms suited for their private parts.

What is a Golf Swing Launch Monitor (part 2 of 2)

If you think getting this number is easy, think again because most professionals are only able to hit a 1:1.4 ratio. If your numbers are way off, do your best to try and achieve this number.

Another thing to watch out for in the golf swing launch monitor is the launch angle. The lower it is the better because this will make the ball travel farther. Tiger Woods who is one of the best golfers of all time launches at 12 degrees. Should you do the same? Not necessarily but if this works for you, then why not.

There are other indicators that can tell you more about your golf swing but take note that these will cost a bit more. These devices can even tell you the average of your shots in various areas and compare them which will helpful to improve your game.

The golf swing launch monitor comes with its own software. This can be even be hooked up to your computer which is even better.

Of course to achieve the right angle and speed, it has a lot to do with your technique. There are other tools you can get to help you practice your golf swing like hiring a coach, practicing in front of a mirror, recording yourself and putting some of the aids on.

Will this make you play better? In most cases yes so you should consider using them if you are still not able to improve your game like you have hoped.

Years ago, there was no machine that could analyze your golf swings. We should be happy then with tools like the golf swing launch monitor because you are no longer guessing if you are doing well or not when everything can be seen in the numbers.

What is a Golf Swing Launch Monitor (part 1 of 2)

In baseball, a speed gun similar to what police use to check on the speed of motorists is used to check the speed of a pitch. In golf, a device called a golf swing launch monitor is used to study the swing aspect in a game.

The golf swing launch monitor is designed to tell a golfer why the ball is flying in a certain direction after the golfer hits it with the club. With the information gathered, the golfer will know what is wrong so the appropriate changes can be made.

How it works is by compiling the data comprising of more than 100 swings made by the golfer. Professionals are not the only ones who use this data because even amateurs use this as well.

Now that these are produced by various companies, it is easy to find one when you go to a sporting goods store.

But what must the golf swing launch monitor have when you go out looking for one? It must be able to tell you the following information which includes ball speed, club head speed, face impact position, flight time, launch angle and yards off line.

But what does the information tell you exactly? Well, if your ball speed isn’t in proportion with your club head speed, this means that you are not hitting the ball as far as you want it to go. Ideally, there should be a 1:1.5 ratio between these two. In simple terms, a club head speed of 100 mph will let you make the ball travel at 150 mph.

Bedding Essentials when Camping in France (part 2 of 2)

Budget Reminders

If camping is part of your travel agenda, you must pack the essentials on your luggage beforehand. This way, when you arrive at the campsite, you no longer need to buy things like toothbrush, scissors, can opener, sun block creams and other things that are easy to carry and are also essential during camping.

When it comes to a good night's rest, here are some of the things that you must already have with you. This way, you no longer need to spend additional costs to the overall amount that you have allotted for this activity.

1. Tent. This will serve as your protection against the heat, rain and any occurrences that the weather may bring. You must bring tent stakes with you to make sure that you will be able to make it stand strong during your stay.

2. Sleeping bag. You should bring something that you are comfortable laying into. This way, you are assured of good rest whenever you are trying to get one.

3. Headrest. You can opt for inflatable pillows. But to make your luggage lighter when camping in France, you can also use folded towels or shirts for this purpose.

Bedding Essentials when Camping in France (part 1 of 2)

When camping in France, as much as you want to enjoy the trip, you should also think of ways on how you can get the most out of the experience. You should plan ahead what you must and must not bring along on your journey. Your best resort when it comes to planning is by asking tips and advices from those who have tried such experience.

If you do not know anyone who had done it, you can always check out the World Wide Web for personal blogs wherein people relate their experiences and even share pictures and videos of such. You may also want to check out forums that deal with the topic to learn more about the place. You could also meet people at such venues that have wide experience about what you want to know about.

Star Quality and Ratings

In France, camping is a definite must see and must do especially for people who love this kind of activity. You can do it on your own. But it will be more fun and memorable if you will bring friends or family along with you. If you are tight on budget, you should not think about going along with the plan at the peak season for this activity in this place, which falls on July and August. The campgrounds at these months become more expensive because there are usually more amenities available for campers.

Why does camping a must-try adventure? France is known for this kind of activity. Actually, their campgrounds are being rated like hotels. The government gives these sites star ratings. The ones that get four or five stars are comfortable and may even border as to being luxurious. But as a camper, you must not solely rely on the ratings alone for your decision.

This is where you can use the research that you have done about the sites and about people's experiences regarding this kind of adventure. There are some people who will tell you that a three or four-star rated campground is not as good as it seemed to be. So it is really vital for you not to skip with the research part to be able to enjoy everything even if you have only allotted little budget for the quest.

The Pros of Worm Composting (part 2 of 2)

Advantage Number 2: All it needs is moist bedding

Worms like moisture, and having moisture is one of the easiest components of composting. If you are able to provide the moisture, you only have to wait and see until the worms do their wonders in helping you have more fertilized soil.

Advantage Number 3: Worms are readily available and are not that hard to cultivate.

In some areas, you need not look for worms. You only have to get a jar and focus your eyes while walking in the garden. Sometimes, you need not go out of the house and you can find them sauntering in your bathroom (rich in moisture, remember?). So the good thing is that they will not really resist you if you put them in a cage rich with food.

Advantage Number 4: Aside from the yuck factor, the worms will happily do the work; you only have to regulate them.

You will act more as a worm manager than a laborer, really. After you put on the heap and the worms together, you will do very minimal work for so much positive results. You can also get a lot of support from governments and people worldwide regarding this aspect. In fact, in some American communities, it is already being implemented and widely promoted to have worm composting in the home.

Advantage Number 5: Mobile bins will not affect the worms' performance.

Another thing with the worm composting that other composting techniques don't have is the mobility. You can take it with you anywhere, assuming that you have small scale composting on your sleeve (industrial size worm composting isn't really a lovely idea, anyway).

The Pros of Worm Composting (part 1 of 2)

The old "Eeeeeeew!" may well become one of the solutions to environmental problems and lack of nutrition in the soil. Scientists have tested this in the laboratory and have now approved of this new technique to composting: worm composting. Particularly, the red worm variety are the ones capable of doing this new feat.

Finally, they found a new way to make use of worms aside from being the main dish in Fear Factor. Some of us may have goosebumps upon imagining the sight of creepy crawlies-- it truly is more than enough to give any average person the heebie jeebies. But on the up side, they have been known to help cultivate the environment for a long time. It is really no surprise to find that they play a vital role in the whole composting process.

Some of you might think that worm composting is not really such as good idea. But before you banish the idea of those red crawlies helping save the environment, take a break, open your mind and hear out some of the advantages of the now-becoming-popular worm composting technique.

Advantage Number 1: Flexible: Indoors or Outdoors, Take Your Pick

Whether you want to have your worm compost indoors or outdoors, it does not really matter. You can have them on either or on both areas. The good thing is that you won't even have to sweat around too much with your worm compost. They are relatively easy to transport and are non-complaining workers that will till your compost day in and day out, for relatively no charge. You only have to feed them to keep them in top condition.

The remaining advantages will be posted on part 2 :)
